EXECUTIVE-LEGISLATIVE COVENANT
FOR UNITY AND PROGRESS
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, as partners of the national government in development, local government units assumed critical roles in the fight against poverty, in the acceleration of economic development and in ensuring public service transparency and accountability;
WHEREAS, the State of the Local Governance Report (SLGR) of the province reveals the existence of performance gaps in the delivery of essential public services;
WHEREAS, the advancement of the social well-being, economic prosperity and environmental health of the Province of Davao del Norte necessitates the formulation and implementation of a Joint Executiv-Legislative Agenda (ELA) as a management tool and strategy in the attainment of the LGUs vision and development goals;
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, we hereby bind ourselves to undertake and support the formulation of Joint Executive-Legislative Agenda and to implement the priority actions contained therein.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, we herunto set our hands on the date abovementioned at the Provincial Capitol, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines.
